The Jos\u00e9 Domingo de Santistevan Educational Unit originated as the Orphanage for Children, created by the Board of Charity of Guayaquil in 1903 and inaugurated in 1905 on Cerro Santa Ana, under the administration of the Salesian Community, with the purpose of welcoming orphaned children and those with limited resources, providing them with primary education, food, and spiritual formation. It began with 24 students and, over time, consolidated itself as a benchmark institution, overcoming challenges such as the bubonic plague in 1908 and renovating its infrastructure in 1937. <\/p>

On January 5, 2025, it celebrated 120 years of history, reaffirming its legacy of academic excellence and comprehensive training of generations of learners. Throughout these twelve decades, it has evolved with new technologies and pedagogical methods, without losing the values and principles that distinguish it, being an educational pillar and a tribute to all who have been part of its journey. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The Baccalaureate is a key stage that prepares young people for their entry into the workforce or for the continuation of higher education. With the support of the Department of Well-being and Tutoring, learners receive vocational guidance that allows them to choose their path with clarity. <\/p>

We offer three modalities:<\/p>

Bachelor of Science<\/strong>, which strengthens academic skills and critical thinking, providing a solid foundation for pursuing university studies.<\/p>

Technical Baccalaureate<\/strong>, which integrates general education with a technical specialization in a specific area, preparing learners for both the world of work and higher education in that field. Career: Marketing and Sales.<\/strong><\/p>

Dual Baccalaureate,<\/strong> inspired by the German educational system, which combines theory with professional practice. From the second year of Baccalaureate, young people are trained in the school and in a company, thus obtaining valuable work experience and a German international certification.
