The Freire Stabile Educational Unit was founded on March 29, 1989, as a result of the vision and commitment of Father Manuel Freire Heras, a Salesian priest who dedicated his life to the education of children and young people from vulnerable sectors. Thanks to the generous donation of the Stabile family and the support of the community, a space was created where love, faith, and knowledge went hand in hand.
During its early years, it had the presence of Salesian religious sisters who accompanied the spiritual and academic formation of the students with dedication. Over time, the institution grew in infrastructure, enrollment, and scope, consolidating itself as a benchmark in the Playas canton.
In 2025, it began a new stage by joining the Board of Charity, an organization that supports its development and expansion, maintaining its identity and social mission.
Today, Freire Stabile continues to train generations with excellence, values, and community commitment.
